Hi! I'm Nanci with an I,

My name comes from my dad's, "Venancio," and while people often spell it with a "Y," keeping the "I" helps me stay rooted in my Filipino culture.

I'm a student at UC Berkeley majoring in Cognitive Science and pursuing the Certificate of Design. I believe that effective design starts with a deep understanding of people. Growing up, I saw firsthand how limited accessibility and resources impacted my community. This fueled my passion for creating inclusive experiences.

My mission: Bridge the gap of opportunity through design.

My Communities

UX@Berkeley

A big reason choosing Berkeley felt easy. One of the few clubs that valued passion over experience. I've been here since my first semester, and I'm beyond grateful for the chance I now have as Co-President to lead and help carry that legacy forward for students just like me.

Figma @ UC Berkeley

Doing what I love and sharing it with people who love the same things is what makes being a Figma Campus Leader so great. I get to bring Figma to UC Berkeley, and the best part is doing it alongside my three fellow Campus Leaders.

PAA (Pilipinx American Alliance)

Isang Bagsak! When one falls, we all fall, but when one rises, we all rise. Within PAA, I've found two homes: PCN (Pilipinx Cultural Night), where I help preserve our history through design, and KAA, the Kuya-Ate-Ading mentorship program, where my family makes me proud to be Pilipinx.

My Core Values

Knowledge can't be stolen

Papa taught me that life carries impermanence. Except one- the experiences and lessons I learn.

Knowledge can't be stolen

Papa taught me that life carries impermanence. Except one- the experiences and lessons I learn.

To be seen is to be loved

The act of love can only come after one has seen past the surface of someone else.

People have different capacities

Be patient. What's easy for me may not be easy for others, vice versa.
